Presenting her paper Canadian marriage policy: A tragedy for children Dr. Seana Sugrue explored the long-term costs of “companionate” vs. “child-centered” marriage in Canada and then opened the floor to questions. Sugrue argued that reforms to Canadian marriage policy are concerned more with the advancement of adults’ emotional needs than the needs of children. The event was hosted by David Anderson, MP and Hon. John McKay, PC MP, in cooperation with the Institute of Marriage and Family Canada.
Co-host David Anderson, MP, brings opening remarks.
