(Ottawa) - The Institute of Marriage & Family Canada (IMFC) and the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition will host a seminar on the benefits of palliative care as an alternative to euthanasia on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, in Ottawa.
Bobby Schindler, Terri Schiavo’s brother, will offer his perspective on euthanasia with regards to his family’s very public struggle. He now works full time for the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation (http://www.terrisfight.org/) a “non-profit group dedicated to ensuring the rights of disabled, elderly and vulnerable citizens against care rationing, euthanasia and medical killing.”
Dr. Margaret Cottle, palliative care physician and a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, will present her paper “Palliative Care: A Positive Alternative to Euthanasia"
